Cruach-Bodach, the old man of The White Mountains.

He looked like a giant made out of rock and stone, as he led his small band of Sliabh Giants to join the Greenwood army.

This illustration took 18 hours and measures 370mm by 220mm.

"Young Mistress, we come from the marvellous caves of Sciathan, in the white mountains" Cruach-Bodach announced in a deep cavernous voice, as he bowed his huge head.

The Elfin Queen touched Cruach-Bodach's hand and replied "I know you, Cruach. My mother used to talk about you often when I was young, and she told me wonderful tales about your exploits in the lands of the White Mountains."

"You are still very young compared to me, young Mistress. Your mother, my lady Ailionora Flidais taught us, the Sliabh giants, the art of speech in the elvish tongue. She used to visit us but, alas, she has not come for many years. So instead I have come with my people to visit her and to speak with my friend, Dair, and while we are here we will help the elves to put an end to the black sorcerer, and those who hurt your father."

The Elfin Queen smiled and said "Thank you Cruach-Bodach, but I have dealt with the firbolgs who hurt my father. However, Dair is now the Lord of all the Oak Trees, and he is kind enough to watch over the forest for me."
